Some of the beautiful dynamic shots that I took of my friends and their bikes during a recent photo shoot at the local bike cafe. What started as just an idea soon became something bigger once friends had seen one or two of my images. Before I knew it I had friends stacking up to get themselves photographed with their pride and joy. I can only thank them all for allowing me to take the shots and hope you all enjoying looking at them as much as i enjoyed photographing them.
I have to admit that after using the Sony Xperia Z2 for.a couple of weeks now I am not disappointed.. it's camera is amazing considering it is on a mobile.phone and it's full manual mode is fantastic. this still life image was captured on full manual using only my Sony Xperia Z2. if the plans for capturing in Raw happen during the next update the camera should really hit new heights.. if you want a phone with a good camera then the Z2 is the phone for you. without a doubt the best camera on a phone available on the market....
I have to admit I've not had a lot of time with my new Sony Z2 but what I have captured already I have to admit it is without a doubt the best camera on a phone to date. if.you want a phone with a camera then the Xperia Z2 doesn't disappoint.
Like many people and artists I often find myself as the source of my inspiration when it comes to my work. Sometimes it is subtle but other times it is obvious to see especially to those that know me.
One of my latest works entitled "TRAPPED" which can be seen left is a perfect example. For many years I have felt trapped. Completely entombed behind an illness that appears invisible to everyone who looks upon me.
Because of this I have suffered with depression and personal conflicts with myself for many years. Thinking it must be me or something in my head as everyone around me doesn't seem to be able to see it.
My work "TRAPPED" is what I see in the mirror. To everyone else I am Rob. The normal friendly down to earth person that I always am but, underneath, I am struggling. Trapped behind a web of scars, pain and depression that only I can feel or see.
Like many of my photography and Artists friends my work can be a source of expression and release. A way to express how I feel by portraying it in my art. A way to express how I feel as well as a release. A release from all the daily pressures that many in the same situation as myself face on a daily basis.
So with that said... Try not to judge a book by it's cover. Just because someone may seem fine on the outside doesn't mean they are on the inside and visa versa.
Anyhow... I sincerely hope you all like my latest piece of work entitled "TRAPPED" and thank you all for all the comments and support throughout the last year.
All the best
One of the beautiful new refurbished parts of Mote Park is the stunning landscaped waterfall which I photographed back in 2012 using a long exposure to highlight the water. To my surprise it was featured in the local newspaper this morning which was a fantastic delight and start to the weekend...
Well after so many attempts to photograph the beautiful interior of All Saint's Church in Maidstone, Kent I finally managed to walk in to a completely empty church and captured some beautiful shots of what can only be described as stunning. I was in awe and the beautiful of this church and managed to get some really nice shots of it both inside and out. This shot was taken whilst looking back from the main alter and shows the subtle sunlight shinning through the beautiful stained glass window. Well after months of hard work i finally managed to finish my set of MotoGP paintings. Painstakingly painted in CS6 whilst working from reference photographs to create these stunning paintings of some of the top riders in MotoGP. A lot of hard work but it paid of in the end. Thanks for all the support and
I finally managed to complete the third and final digital hand painting from the trio for one of my clients and i have to say that i am over the moon with the finished product as was my client. The final painting which can be seen left is of her daughter and it was an honor and a privilege to create the paintings for my client. I sincerely hope you enjoy my work as much as i enjoyed painting it.
well my latest digital hand painting of the two F15's has gone down well but my word that was a difficult one. The original F-15 was it's original dark grey color which to me just didn't pop enough. After a lot of thought i decided to give it my own custom camouflage which turned out to be one of the hardest parts to paint. Even though at one point I thought about scrapping the idea I decided to keep at it and once finished was pleased i had. The Eagles once finished came out beautifully and all the hard work was definitely worth it. Hope everyone enjoys the painting of the two F-15's as much as i enjoyed painting it.. Rob :)
I was asked recently from a fellow photographer friend if i would attempt to paint one of his images of a Tornado. Never trying to paint something like this i decided to give it a go. After some serious time and effort i can honestly say i surprised even myself. The painting came out beautifully. It is safe to say that this is another field of subject that i am quite comfortable painting... A big thank you to my friend Ken (Aviation Prints) for the opportunity to paint it..
